Bolton killed by a thudd Missile!

Never got out of first gear but at least we went out to win the game.

Harry has promised not to change the team needlessly so what that means is Kaboul at right back and Bale at left back have the most important game of thier career ahead of them.
Bale has to deal with SWP/Johnson trying to pin him back and still provide the width we need to create chances.

Kaboul will have to defend against Bellamy and either Bentley or Azza in front of him. He has to balance acting as the third centre back when bale goes forward and supporting whoever is banging down the right with some decent crosses from deep. This is where we will score goals as lescott is out Toure isn’t the biggest or fastest and leaving JD and pav to each try and get a foot head or arse on the ball if they can.

Talking about those two It was pointed out to me by a friend that between JD and Pav you will not see four touches without a shot being taken. Now considerig we are a passing club maybe this needs to be adressed. Taking a more measured aproach would bring more midfielders in to the game going forward.

Villa got all of thier chances cutting inside and Young/Downing had so many shooting chances that niether were brave enough to take hopefully bentley/Lennon and Moddle will pick thier balls up off the floor and smash one in the top corner. If nit they can always lay it off to Thudd.

The one thing I hope harry didn’t notice was how badly Toure dealt with Carew. He may be tempted by throwing crouch on but he should look at how pav muscled Terry in the Chelski game and JD is almost unstoppable as he always gets important goals.

Now same again harry a 1-0 win for spurs will do the job!

Arry holds the key. 3-1 Man U

A couple changes were made to the team that destroyed Chelsea the result being that we lost.

I am guessing they had to be made as who in thier right mind would change our whole aproach ahead of what could have been the game that sealed fourth place well Harry for one.

He has done it before and I won’t be surprised to see him do it again. It all just seems so odd. Maybe harry let’s kevin bond pick the team one week and he the next. I dunno it’s like Jekyll and Hyde all over. The result was never really going to be what was important in this game as let’s face it we couldn’t really ask those boys to go and beat the top three one after the other. But more that the last two games were not a fluke and that we can always hold our own with the big boys and that we deserve to be called one of the big boys!

Ledley was awesome Dawson did very little wrong and Defoe worked his socks off but everyone else looked like we had already lost. BAE & Wilson both having close to thier worst game in a lilywhite shirt. Bale was ineffective some will say it was down to him playing left back but I would say it was more down to Thudd not being able to play a five yard pass. Modric would normally cut inside giving Bale enough room to attack leaving Thudd to get it to him. Bale was also guilty of being greedy. Bentley never even got on the pitch did he ? Completely anonymous the whole game best thing about himself was he made way for Lennon who although not all there did look pretty sharp.

Next game is a Biggie when you look at the run in actually all three games are massive. COYS

Did we just… Fuck the title race? 2-1 win!

So 2-1 against Chelsea not a bad result.

People will remember these two games for a long time as we didn’t just steal a goal at the end of a tight game where niether team could hit a barn door we played them both off the pitch! Modric was just brilliant on and off the ball, pav worked hard and outmuscled Terry on every occasion, Defoe did what Defoe does and that’s score, bale was sensational and has got the press coverage he deserved but the two who really impressed me was Dawson for his never ever say die attitude (if he doesn’t replace Terry in England squad capello must be blind) and Thudd who’s passing was the real reason bale had so much space. He would hold it just long enough to tempt mikel to moving ten yards out of position making a huge gap inbetween chelsea’s defence and midfield.
If you said to me that Thudd would Be the first name on the team sheet at the begining of last season I would have caned you for an hour at least but that has now been what he has become. Arrys patience with his shit days will truly be tested when sandro lands in the summer but it will also be interesting to see where he plays and who he comes in for as watching one game he looked like a younger Wilson and another he looked like a younger thudd so really I have no clue what is going to happen.

The Injuries are piling up now and I have a feeling Arry will just throw the game against Man u a’la Wolves and slip in a decent side but save the legs of the likes of Bale and Moddle and Defoe who has looked particularly shattered.

Maybe bring back in the boy with the rocket launcher for a left foot for bale and Wilson for Moddle start the iceman for Jd and unfairness we are still looking at a pretty bloody good side.

Anyway Man U away should be interesting because let’s face it when is it not beig a spurs supporter.

Debate: who should be our starting sivers and full backs next season? Answer on a postcard or twitter!

Dr. Harry & Mr Hyde

Firstly YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS GET FUCKING IN THERE!!!!!!!!

Ok back to my argument.

I am still a bit shell shocked and really not sure what happened yesterday.

I have considered watching the match in slowmo to see if I can figure out what changed to each and every player since the Pompey game. They seem taller stronger darker a bit moody and ready to to take on anybody. There was bags of that word that has never been said very often around WHL DETERMINATION.
I blamed Harry for the cup semi that was and I credited him with the come back against fulham. So what will I be doing on Sunday? Congratulating him on making great decisions by starting an unknown or screaming “WHY HARRY!!!” because he has started Crouch alongside Defoe.
It’s just all a bit odd and you do have to ask if this is luck? Because Harry surely didn’t purposely put out an unbalanced side against Pompey? Or did he ? Could he have used that defeat as the ultimate way of getting the boys up for the arsenal game as let’s face it most spurs fans would secretly take beating arsenal over the FA cup wouldn’t we?

Anyway I am happy hopefully you are and untill I see the lineup against Chelsea I won’t be singing are praises for fourth just as yet. I do think we are the best of the rest as Citeh are just to suspect in every position bar the forward line who are down right ridiculous.

Anyway untill then.

did we really think we would win ?

they knew are game well as we had played against them two weeks ago
they knew we would not want to go to penalties or extra time as we have some big games coming up
they knew that if they got stuck in early on most of the spurs players would pussyfoot about for the rest of the game
they knew exactly how to take care of modric doubling up on him and forcing him to get the ball deeper and deeper to find space.

so what did we know?
well fuck all
we could have set up against any eleven monkeys the way arry put us out today. bombarding the box with crosses from deep in towards crouch didnt work in the first minute so why should it work in the last. for me taking defoe off was the minute i said that we are going to lose this game.
crouch was ineffective all day. thats not to say that he didnt work hard and have a reasonable game with what he did do he just didnt have a shot on targe the entire game. Portsmouth had more chances than us and they played a waiting game letting us waste possession and stand 30 yards from goal and do nothing with the ball.

The two or three headers he did win he played back to James like he was his centre back.

i looked at my watch and thought this must be half time soon and only 12 minutes had past.
we felt like we had this in the bag and that it was only a matter of time when we would come home with a trip safely booked back to wembley. but like every tottenham team that has gone before us it all fell apart.

I am laying the blame firmly at harrys door as i laid the praise at his door for the fulham game.

in that game he made subs that were going to take us forward and he made them at the right time in this game he made subs that took us back a notch and Pompey pounced on the mistake.

we were caught napping for the entire game end of.

Sunderland, Pompey & L’arse

I will start off in saying that this is in no part a moaning exercise. I will not be hinging at how bad certain players but rather focus on what we can do in the short time we have left.

I still believe there is a deal to be done in the case of O’Hara. even returning the fee Pompey paid to get him there would be worth having a CM who is not injured or cream crackered.

Arry says he had no complaints? well why the hell not? we are part of the big four and we need to assert ourselves as such.
Yes I know Man City will go out and buy half of brazil in the summer so this is our chance before we get kicked the Sheik out of by their mindless billionaire owners.

We will all hear of the stories that Sir Alec will make Ji Sung Park cry after Chelsea and we may even hear Berbatov raised an eyebrow!
If Arry lays into them in private then good but I doubt he would be doing himself any favours as the amount of people saying he can only take us this far mounts up we may even see a banner at WHL calling for his head.
He has to be doing it all in private which although manager-fan relationship suicide is probably best for a squad that is beaten and battered.

Arry said to SSNEWS “We’ve got a tough run-in but if we can get one or two back to full fitness then we’ve got some great games to look forward to.”

The rest of our season will be nothing but interesting. if you have any nails left I assure you come the summer you wont have any fingers to chew over England.

We missed Dawson most and without our leader at the back we looked a little lost. With him back it also means we can play Kaboul in the middle of the park in a seek and destroy capacity.
all I would want him to do is smack Nasri to pieces as in all honestly he isn’t going to be able to live with that boys feet or pace.

oh yeah we have L’arse next. sorry getting ahead of myself…

we will be at White Hart Lane nine days from now brimming with confidence and a new found knowledge that we have used all nine lives now. trip up now and the cat dies for good.
I hate to say it but they have almost as many injuries as we do and both sides will just point to the injury list if they lose. I think we will grab a draw and they will do what they always do at the lane and that is play like a bag of crap and grab an equaliser off someone’s crack.

They are playing for as much if not more than we are and with a run of luck we could even catch them for third.
That would mean wining every game between now and the end of the season and them losing at least a couple but hey we can dream and that’s what I want you to take away from this. We must be for the players sake something a spurs fan has never been and that is confident that even on an off day we could beat anybody in the EPL.

Team News

Lennon hasn’t been given a date he can return yet but apparently he is very close they just don’t want to take a risk because unlike Man Utd and Chelsea the boys wish to play in the world cup is being respected so we aren’t rushing him back.

Dawson’s Achilles is one of those things not to rush.

Corluka & Thudds ankle’s mean they are both doubtful.

Ledley & Woody…… don’t ask….

Wilson has been abducted and Jenas is a twat so he’s still out..

P.s. I have not mentioned Pompey as it really bloody scares me as i just dont know which spurs will turn up….

2-0

Dare I say we did what we needed to and not a great deal more?

Nobody really shined but nobody was obviously out of form either so maybe we can start using spurs and consistent in the same sentance again.

So the little analysis I will point out is that are wingers are now second to none. And our supposed star winger has not played this year yet. Lennon and moddle have only played a couple games together so with him back in the side we could really be looking at something special and maybe a side that can not only keep up with the top three but could also beat them. Can you imagine Gary Neville trying to deal with Bales pace? Or Zhirkov being pinned back and forced to defend against Lennon. Can you really see Obi Mikel chasing down Moddle when he cuts in?

Or even Alex Song putting pressure on Thudd? But you can see every player in out side at the moment chasing every ball and every player.

So

Another cup final Vs Pompey

We are at that point in the season where every game makes a massive difference to are final finishing position and ppey is no different.

Now if you believe Alan Hansen we will stuff this game up and Pompey will bang three past us and we will bend over and take it like a good little bitch. But in recent game we have shown we are no longer just a pretty little bitch that prances around playing gorgeous football against the bottom four & when it really matters just bend over and take it.
In recent games it has been very different we have shown heart and bite for most of the games (ignore first half against fulham) and now with are big man back in centre mid and with something to prove before a Brazilian starts to muscle in for the limited space in our midfield we will have a bit of flair added to the Wilson bite.
Modric suffered in the middle he is too attach minded and with wingers like Bentley and Krank who don’t track back an awfull lot it showed against fulham.

But that game is done we are in the Semi’s at Wembley with Pompey Week after next.

Could we even start to look to the future?
We could have been worthy champions of this league if you look at are injury list and see that at no point of the season have we had every first team player fit I bet you couldn’t say the same about Chelsea Man U or the scum. With more players comig in and the remaining deadwood and unhappy players being moved on we could look like serious contenders for next years title.
We don’t have a Rooney or Drogba just as yet as no one striker has really excelled this season for a long period. They have all played thier part even Bobby Keane scored a couple goals when we needed them and of course Pav has been a revelation getting goals when we were absolutely desperate but while he has been onto goals on a regular basis Defoe has slowed from looking like he would run away with golden boot at one point to now looking like Darren Bent might beat him to fourth spot.

Anyway what I am trying to say is no matter what happens in the next couple weeks I am happy with our season and the circumstances in which we have dragged ourselves up from and shown that Ramos was a blip and that with arry we have a manager that can get these lazy fuckers motivated and in having Levy deal with signing players himself (on harrys recomendation of course) we may just have a winning team!

Fulham, Sandro & life

Afternoon Yids

So spurs have signed Sandro

Arry has given O’Hara a bollocking, a reminder he is still Yid property and mentioned that he is included in his plans for the future.

Arry has hinted also at Joe Cole making his way accross london.

Even Pav already have found a new club in the shape of Brum.

now is it me or is this all very un tottenham. it seems like Harry has carefully selected the players he would like to move to & from the club and set his mind on filling those positions by making all the groundwork ( the declaring of interest etc) before the reopening of the transfer window.
all very organised and sensible. we may see the end of the last day of the window rush and a new one that means everyone actually signs players on pre contracts so that they sign once the window opens?

anyway thoughts about that on twitter, comment below or a post card….

The game tonight has opened up another debate.

FA cup & 5th or 4th?

personally i am split right down the middle of this one.
yes i want another trophy on the mantle but i also would love to see us drawn in a group with Barcelona Real Madrid and Inter to really Gauge how good we are compared to the rest of Europe. why cant we win the cup and finish 4th ? well because we are picking up injures at an alarming rate at the minute with wilson’s bag full of Yellows coming round quickly to haunt us. all of a sudden Harry whinging about the size of his squad and who built it you realise he is right but he is also a victim of his own generosity.

shipping out O’Hara to Pompey surprised most of the faithful me included with the excuse of him needing first team football. but when he came back for a couple days in Jan when we knew Jenas was not going to be fit for the rest of the season we still sent him back. possibly because he has single handedly dragged them up to a fight every now and then.
i mean they are still in the FA cup with us.

so tonights midfield has pretty much picked itself. Bale on the left Moddle and Wilson in the middle with Krank on the right well most of the time anyway.

Harry is known for a surprise selection in this competition so you may see Rose or even Bostock warm the bench even starting if Harry feels he can.

Pav is back at the weekend so that means Iceman and Mr. Fantastic are up front trying to build on the partnership they showed against stoke. at some point in his career referee’s have got to start realising that he doesn’t foul its just the other team get fed up of trying to foul him and fall over…
now after BAE’s behavior in the stoke game do we think Harry will punish him or do anything at all?

All actiion No Plot posted this “quote”
“Benoit is a strange boy. He’s a bit highly strung and hardly speaks English. If you say something to him he’s hard work. He hasn’t improved his English in the couple of years he’s been here.”
[Asked why the player had walked off on his own, Redknapp replied:] “He didn’t know the result! He probably thought we’d drawn. He’ll turn up Wednesday and play great, but he won’t know we’re playing Fulham until someone tells him. That’s how he is. He’s unreal. He walks off and he’s thinking about the music he’s going to play when he puts his headphones on.

I was once told that he is a news breed of footballer who actually doesn’t like the game and only does it because he wasn’t big enough to run 100 meters.
If thats the case then maybe having that attitude in the changing room is not beneficiary.

getting back to fulham game…..

It is important we score first to make the game ours and to then push on to get a second and a third to put our minds at rest. as its spurs that wont happen but what ever does we will win this game i am sure of it. we have enough quality and in recent weeks enough fight to take on anyone.
Zamora will be a pain in Dawsons arse all night but he should still be kept under shackles between Dawsons heading ability and the extra bit of pace that bassong has Zamora will be left hunting for scraps… Gera, Dempsey and Murphy have been excellent for them this season at different times. they have progressed in the same way as we have but with a workmen lke squad rather than are flamboyance.

Enjoy the game Yids.

3-1 win spurs v Blackburn

Just wanna say a couple things.

Pavs left boot isn’t what it should be but neither is bales right boot so we have very little to worry about with those two if they keep playing like this.

Crouch is somethig to worry about tho as he really has lost his impact shown most obviously when he set himself up to do an overhead kick when he was up against a defender that’s 5’5 and in the end still out jumped him. BAE also is not fully fit but is definately coming on leaps and bounds every game.

So keep on playing like this and we might have a chance in the big games coming up.

Jut one more thing. Charlie Corluka is slow but he’s also a big lad so it’s only his acceleration that let’s him down.

Regular service should resume this week. Work has taken president this week I am sorry.
